Last month, Nintendo ruled the gaming world (in the US at least), with the DS Lite and Wii selling for a combined 761K units in the US. Games for those systems took up four of the top five places in games sales as well.
NPD numbers are in for June, and well, things are good for Nintendo. They sold over 1 million consoles in America last month:

June looks to be a good month for buying consoles, I guess to keep kids occupied over the summer. Everyone saw an increase, though some more than others (May’s totals are in brackets). Playstation 3 didn’t move much, which explains the price drop (in fact, it was surpassed by the Gameboy Advance in sales this month – another great low-budget summer time-waster for kids). It doesn’t look like Gamecube results are worth reporting anymore, as most people who would have bought one are getting a Wii, since they are pretty much the same thing.
