In what’s becoming an E3 tradition where console manufacturers try to one-up each other with price cuts right as the event starts, a securities analyst is saying that Microsoft will very likely announce a price cut of their own for all models of the 360 during E3.

He said that the price cut will affect all three Xbox 360 models. The $299 Core pack will drop to $249; the $399 Premium pack will drop to $349; and the recently released $479 Elite model will drop to $399.

I never expected Microsoft to cut prices so soon, because even their most expensive Elite model is cheaper than the PS3’s new price of $499. But we’ll find out after Microsoft’s press conference takes place on Tuesday night I guess!
