Probably the most gorgeous DX9 game that will ever be made, Oblivion marks the end of a generation. I played this game on the XBOX 360, and I was quite disappointed by the performance on that console. It is obvious that this game is meant to be played on a PC, with a high end video card. Let's see how such a setup performs.

To fully push these cards, we set the game to run at High Quality, 1600x1200, with 16x Anisotropic filtering enabled.

And there you have it; the 7950 manages this without a hiccup. If you want to play this game with one of the other cards, you will probably want to turn down the settings or resolution a couple notches.

3DMark 06

For those who put a lot of weight into the Final Score of 3D Mark 06:

3dMark 06 pretty much sums up what we've been seeing throughout all our game tests; the X1950 Pro does well against the older 7900 GT, but the 7950 GT is a step above. Foxconn's overclocking manages to increase performance by a noticable amount in many cases.
