Real World Gaming Benchmarks

Let's face it. If you are looking to purchase OCZ branded memory, chances are it is for a gaming rig. We tested using a range of popular games to see if an increase in RAM size translates into an increase in frame rates.

Surprisingly our results here mimic what we saw before with the lower latency sticks outperforming the larger capacity sticks with slightly looser timings.

Time to move on to a couple more recent games with their increased memory capacity requirements.

Finally we are seeing the performance increases that we were expecting all along. Any game that requires beyond a gigabyte of memory usage (or above a gigabyte combines with other processes running on your machine) will experience performance increases with an additional gigabyte of RAM. Any time page file access takes place performance will suffer.
