The Test
We're going to simplify things a bit, and only show one other motherboard in these results. To show that the NF4 Standard is just as fast as a board using the NF4 SLI chipset (which costs manufacturers much more), we're going to contrast the Infinity against Abit's award-winning AN8 SLI motherboard. If you want to see more, we did use the Infinity board in a prior review, where it was benchmarked against ECS' intriguing PF88 Extreme Hybrid. The systems were set up as follows: CPU: AMD Athlon64 3000+ Venice Core 1.8 GHz 512K L2 Cache Memory Bandwidth Test
We always start with a memory bandwidth test in our motherboard reviews. However with the memory controller integrated on the CPU, this test is less important on AMD motherboards. As expected, results are nearly identical. Next Page: (PCMark 05; CineBench 2003)
