Swissbit Victorinox

I got my first glimpse of the Victorinox at CES where a single click on a wheel was the difference between a 256 meg version of this product and a 20 gig Ipod. I still curse my luck to this day, but the fact remains that this is a pretty neat product! The box that the product came in was the biggest of the USB drives which is ironic as the device itself was the smallest at 58mm x 18mm x 12mm.

As you can see, this is no ordinary USB drive (or Swiss army knife depending on how you look at it). The build quality of this product was above average and the scissors could actually be used to cut things unlike the "swiss army" knifes you'll find at the dollar store. The product was also surprisingly light (not much more than comparing products in this review!).

Now, those of you who travel a lot in the states know that you... can't take things like this on a plane as the people in charge are afraid you will assemble an army of people armed with 1" blades like this to hijack a plane. Fortunately, the swiss thought of everything and the USB key component is detachable for those situations.

The included accessory package was comparable to that of Corsair's with a lanyard and USB extension cable.

As with the other drives, Swissbit offered a utility that let you set partition sizes on the drives.

Their Travel it easy software however, deserves its own page...
