Seagate 100gb Portable Drive

Now, having a whole crapload of space is nice, but for the most part, one will not need to lug around 400gb of data. This drive is the answer to that call. It's still has a lot of capacity at 100GB, but it's a heck of a lot more portable!

The drive comes in at 129mm x 93mm x 25mm which is a heck of a lot smaller than the 400gb monster we saw. This cable included with this drive lets you use one or two USB ports (depending on how much power they provide) to power the drive. This means only 1 cable to bring around instead of a big power brick/data cable like the 400gb drive. As with the 400gb drive, Seagate has also included a copy of BounceBack Express for your backup needs.

Seagate Software

BounceBack Express is kind of like Nero Express in the sense that it is a stripped down version of the full retail product. In other words, unless you want a really basic solution, you'd probably want to get other software.

The software is pretty rudimentary to say the least. It however, does what it says it will do and that is backup your drives.

A couple clicks and you're on your way to backing up your information...

Unfortunately, with free solutions like 2BrightSparks SyncBack SE offering much better solutions, this software can't be viewed as adding much to the package.

Let's take a look at the Flash based offerings...
