The tablet...

The tablet comes finished in a nice glossy slate grey and the workmanship is top notch. Very solidly built which means no annoying creaking down the road.

I've included a picture here to compare the original Intuos to the new Intuos 3. As you can see, there's been a few changes over the years. As mentioned previously, the one thing that really stood out was the quality of the new board. It looked to be better constructed than the original Intuos. Also note the introduction of the buttons on the side of the tablet.

These buttons are a new feature on the Intuos3 and can be found on each side of the tablet. In addition, there's a touchpad that acts much like a scroll wheel although that can be programmed as we will see later.

Finally, we have the peripherals that are included with the tablet. Here we can see the included mouse, the standard pen as well as the 6d pen which is extra. Not pictured are the two cds that were included with the tablet. Apart from the drivers, Wacom also included Photoshop Elements, Corel Painter Essentials, Nik Efex Pro as well as some Wacom brushes for use with various programs.

Let's look at the pens in a little more detail...
