With multi-board reviews, it's always hard to summarize your thoughts at the end so let's get a couple things out of the way. Firstly, as you can see, the performance improvement (if any) is very negligable so one should not go out of their way to buy one of these boards if they are happy with current offerings. Second, onboard sound, is still no good. Finally, the limit of 265 for the FSB was not so good for the overclockers in the crowd.

With that out of the way, let's go through the boards one by one.

955X7AA - I liked this board quite a lot actually. The number of hard drives that you could fit on this board was simply.. amazing. I'm hard pressed to think of cases that could actually fit that manner devices should one need it. Performance was right where we expected it to be so two things stood out as negatives. Firstly, the lack of a second PCIe video slot was a hinderance I believe. For any flagship motherboard out there these days, dual video slots is a must. Secondly, and not as important, I would have liked to see another firewire port on the back though there really wasn't anywhere to put it (I'm a writer not an engineer! They have to figure out where to put it).

945P7AA - Second from top of the line, this board did the job very well in my opinion. The extra IDE raid array was a nice touch and there was really nothing to detract from the score of the board. The included accessories however, left much to be desired.

945G7MA - This little board was crammed with everything you need for a small computer and I liked that. The inclusion of the IDE raid was again a very nice touch for those with legacy drives around. As with the 945P7AA, my biggest criticism was the accessories included with the board.
