Introduction With the industry shifting towards laser mice for the ultimate in performance, it seems that anyone and everyone is jumping on the bandwagon. It's not a bad thing mind you, but as we'll see, there are both pluses and minuses. Today we'll be looking at a newcomer to this industry, Optorite. Better known for their line of optical media and burners, this laser mouse represents their first foray into the highly competitive industry. Do they have what it takes or will they be send home packing like the ugly girl at the prom? Let's find out! The Product Taking the mouse out of the box, we see that.. by golly, it's shaped like a normal mouse! The mouse comes standard with a scroll wheel, two top buttons... .. and three side buttons. Maybe it's because I have fat fingers, but I found these buttons incredibly hard to use because of their size. The slight overhang of the black part of the mouse also contributed to that. The bottom is lined with not two, not four, but six(!) pads on the bottom for some smooth action. Wait a minute. Haven't I seen this mouse somewhere before?
