The Board: Continued

The bottom right corner of the board is where you will find the RAID 1.5 PATA connectors, and the Intel MCH5 SATA connectors (capable of RAID 0 and RAID 1). A floppy is thrown in for good measure.

Although there are only four USB2.0 ports on the back panel, you get 4 more via PCI brackets. I won't complain too much though, because DFI included RCA connectors for direct output to an amp! Unfortunately though, they replace the TOSLINK ports that may have been there otherwise.

The LAN is an Intel 1000T controller, and the audio is a 5.1 channel CMI9739A controller, using no shared ports which is great.

All in all, I found the Lanparty layout to be one of the better 875P based motherboards I've seen lately. Now let's move along to the great bundle!

The Bundle

Truly one of the Lanparty's greatest assets has to be the bundle, which is probably the most complete motherboard bundle you'll find today.

Headlining the bundle is the "PC Transpo" which does even more to add credence to DFI's "Lanparty" branding than the funky UV reactive colouring. The Transpo should carry most medium-sized ATX towers, keyboard, mouse, mousepad, game controllers, etc.

Digging deeper into the bundle, you'll find the FrontX 5.25" front port adapter. I have to give DFI credit for including something that many people may find handy, but I have to say, I can't stand these things. They are extremely ugly, and don't offer anything that any good tower would have. Again, I give DFI credit for the FrontX, but I know many won't find much use in it.

It would probably make more sense to include a pair of UV reactive cold cathode tubes, which will compliment the board itself perfectly. Let's face it, anyone who buys this board is going to want to light it up!
