The Bios The DFI KT400a uses an Award BIOS like many other socket A motherboards. Everything is pretty much standard throughout with a couple of minor points of interest. The two submenus of interest to us today are the PC Health Status submenu, which uses the onboard Winbond chip to detect and display both the CPU temperature and the RPM speed of each fan. as well as the Genie BIOS submenu, which contains all of the overclocking/tweaking settings that we as enthusiast gamers have come to expect. The PC Health submenu is standard fare displaying your PC's vital stats and letting you set a shutdown temperature. The Genie BIOS allows you to tweak some of the overclocker important motherboard settings. Notice the option for the Lan Party LOGO. Basically it displays at startup instead of the BIOS post a-la standard OEM motherboards and PC's. CPU Multiplier settings are editable between 5x and 22.5x not necessarily at 1x increments. DIMM voltage is editable between values of 2.5V and 2.8V Finally, you have the option of setting the FSB anywhere from 100mhz all the way up to 255mhz (depending on setting of onboard jumper) where you simply type in the value you desire.
