Access seek times are almost too close to call, but Hitachi pulls ahead once again.

First off, I have to say that while we usually like to zero our graphs, but if we were to do that here, all you would see is a single line. So keep in mind that the differences you see in the graphs may look more profound than they actually are.

That being said, it's easy to see who pulls ahead of the pack in the 1mb read test. As we've been seing consistently in the previous tests, the Hitachi/IBM excels above the rest by about 2500 KB/s.

Things are slightly different with the Write test, as the SATA pulls way ahead of the pack. The Hitachi is the best performing of the PATA drives here, once again.

With the 8MB tests, we're saturating the cache completely. This is where the men will be separated from the boys. Apparently, the Seagate PATA has some growing up to do to keep up with its 'older brother'. Both Seagate drives, however, fall behind the rest in this test. Once again, Hitachi pulls ahead with a good score.

The SATA interface doesn't seem to help Seagate when the cache is saturated, and once again the PATA Seagate falls behind. Hitachi is obviously the fastest drive of the four.
