Day One

So after getting through LA traffic (which is absolute hell...I can't understand how anyone can deal with this on a daily basis.  I would go postal...), we arrived at E3 at about 9:30am and was greeted by this.

Well that's just great.  I drive all the way from Vancouver, BC and apparently this whole thing isn't real.

Anyways, Enter the Matrix absolutely wins my vote for the best ad campaign of E3 with their "______ IS NOT REAL" stuff.  I have a "THIS POSTER IS NOT REAL." really on my wall.  There were "protestors" marching around with their "E3 IS NOT REAL" picket signs and a van parked in the parking lot (which freakin' costs $10 a day...what the hell kind of city is this!?) handing out posters that weren't real.

Security is tight...well, kinda.  Despite how the long lineup suggests otherwise, the wait was minimal.  The security personelle barely glance in your bag before giving you a orange thingie that means that you're not carrying bombs or guns or various other terrorist crap.

Upon entry, I was greeted by a MASSIVE screen that constantly displays LucasArts demos...and I was pleasantly surprised by movies of the new Jedi Academy game as well as, to my pleasant surprise, the new Full Throttle game.  I don't know if you guys remember adventure games anymore but LucasArts made the best ones...and Full Throttle was one of them, following a biker named Ben.  I look forward to this one...

After a brief visit to the media room to check my e-mail and post what happened last night in the forums, I went out on the floor.  Of course, being me...the first thing I saw was some girl in a car.  She was in the "Fast and the Furious" booth where she sat in the usual riced out car.  Apparently she's a model or someone famous because the security guy pushed me so the shot is a little blurry.  Oh well...I came back and got a better look later...hehe...what's with the facial expression?  If you know who this is, please let us know in the forum!
