I must admit that I once regarded Epox motherboards with slight contempt, thinking of them as only an integrated everything, cheapo brand for the OEM builders to deal with.  After my experiences with this board I think that I perhaps owe the nice people at Epox an apology.

Packed with perhaps the most overclocker friendly features of any of the NForce2 board at a price point that is just about middle of the pack, the 8RDA+ has established Epox as a force to be dealt with in the high end motherboard market.  I promise to never again dismiss a current board due to the past transgressions of its manufacturer.

With that said, if you are not an overclocker, and need only a fast yet stable board to house your AMD CPU, then stick with the Soltek NForce2 offering.  With the lowest price point of all three boards and performance/stability that can't be beat you can't go wrong.

On the other hand though, if you are a tweaker, a freaker,  a mad cookie eater, have a serious look at the Epox line of NForce2 boards, whether it be the 8RDA+ or the newer 8RDA3+.  Epox has gone the extra mile to make these boards overclocker friendly, and for that we salute them.

  • Great tweaking BIOS
  • Mounting Holes for everything!
  • USB and Firewire adapters included
  • All in one BIOS update software
  • Amazing Overclocking Abilities

  • Lags behind other NForce2 boards at stock speeds
  • 6ch sound adapter not included
  • CPU Socket is rotated 90 degrees the WRONG way!

Final Score: 94%
