Thermaltake Keeps Going and Going and... Thermaltake is at it again! This review marks our 7th Thermaltake product review! No, we're not Tt fanboys, you'll find that we are fair in all our reviews. They just keep coming out with more and more products, and we are happy to review each one as they come out! I'll start off with a basic roundup of our experiences with Thermaltake's Orb products:
Back to the Old School The Orb line of coolers is what made Thermaltake famous. It all started with the Golden Orb back in the P3 days (before T-Birds came out, when everyone had Pentium CPU's). With the exception of the Volcano II, they haven't strayed from the basic Orb design in most of their product line. And why should they? The Orb gives them a look that is so unique from other coolers, and is functional. However, we have all been waiting for Tt to come up with something for the HARDEST of the CORE. We don't want no cheap aluminum heatsinks, give us something with copper on it! Yeah! There have even been cheap ass imitations of the Orb coolers made of copper... As seen in this review over at HardOCP, Thermaltake can be imitated but not duplicated! We were all eagerly awaiting a Copper Orb from Thermaltake, and here it is! Highest Performance! I've never seen heatsinks on retail shelves, EVER. Could Thermaltake be a pioneer in that department? I don't know, like i said, I haven't seen it yet! Who knows though... The box states that the Mini Copper Orb is for Socket A chips up to 1.5 Ghz. Boy I can't wait for one of those! They also have the specs listed on the back (The same ones found on their site, and the same ones I will not waste a page listing in this review).
