Go to the Settings Menu and turn "OFF" the BD 1080p 24 Hz Output (HDMI)". Then she said, "Play the movie", and that sucker fired up like Danica Patrick's Rahal-Letterman Toyota.

my ps3 plays games just fine..and plays DVD movies but only in 480p. It won't let me change to higher 720 or 1080 saying "mode not supported" even though my TV is HD 1080p. Is it the HDMI cable problem?
At least I can watch DVDs with my PS3 but it doesn't play blu-ray discs saying "no signal"
why it that? and how can I get full HD quality when watching movies?
