As we mentioned yesterday, Microsoft is pricing Windows 7 low enough to be worthy of consideration not just by people who are way behind with XP, but those who went with Vista as well. As good as Vista is (and despite morons telling you otherwise, it is good), Windows 7 truly is what Vista should have been.
Microsoft has partnered with several retailers to offer the upgrade version of Windows 7 at a discounted price – $49 for Home Premium, and $99 for Professional. This is a nice discount from the final MSRP of $120 and $200, respectively. You can find links to online dealers on this Microsoft page. Canadians will be able to pick it up for $65 and $125 right here (despite the fact that a direct currency conversion translates to $57 and $115)
This deal is only available until July 11.
