there are more people on xbox live than ps3 besides, microsoft and sony made a psn/xbox live connector which allows you to play on both networks from one system ^.^ the only problem is that it cost $3000 but shit its better than playing on just one network

Very well written article I must say. I have both systems but I must stress that the option to be able to install games on the hard drive is a HUGE advantage the Xbox 360 has over the PS3. This will improve loading times /performance drastically and also eliminate the loud dvd drive noise while playing.

What’re you all on right now? Despite me not being all that big on Killzone 2, I caved and grabbed Killzone 3 Helghast Edition for under $100. Damn glad I did, just wish the campaign was longer. XD

Speaking of the short campaign, need something else for either 360 or PS3 to tide me over til the next bumper crop. Any ideas?

while i do agrre on some things you said, i think you way over exagerated it. and at the start you said you bought the ps3, then at the end you said you had one of each console. w did you mean one of each playstation system?

another reason to go xbox is for xbox live. sure, you have to pay for it, but at least it doesnt get hacked and go down for weeks….. suppose you do get what you pay for with live……… the ability to play online:)

Why is it I can find nothing concerning the long-term costs of owning either system? I am a loyal Playstation fan, but I was entertaining the idea of buying an Xbox (initial costs being the biggest factor at the time) because most of my family, and friends use that platform. I decided not to buy one simply because all of them had been through multiple systems. My best friend alone has been through 5 360’s in four years. He’s actually had to pay for 3 of them. And he still insists that the Xbox 360 is better. This has been going on since the first Xbox. I think the number of system replacements is around 12. And he’s just one example. My brothers, cousins, uncles, and even my classmates have all had to pay for at least one replacement system, though in most cases that number is actually 2 replacement systems. Apparently if you get the “Red Ring of Death” after the warranty expires, Microsoft says “Tough $%#^, buy a new one”. That’s a load of BS. I’m old-school. If I buy something it better be made well enough that it doesn’t expire the day after my warranty expires. That’s why I like Playstation. I still have my PS1 and my PS2 as well as all of the game I bought for each, and THEY BOTH WORK FINE. Enough ranting.

In terms of longevity Playstation wins hands down. I’ve bought one of each system. Sure I paid more for them, but if you’ve had to buy even one replacement Xbox 360 then you’ve paid more than I did for mine.
