Playstation 3 Controller in Windows 7 Guide Updated

We have updated our guide to installing a PS3 controller in Windows, to reflect the changes in the latest software. The most significant change is that the drivers are now (finally) digitally signed, so you no longer need to disable signature enforcement, or run in test mode, to run the drivers. There are a few more changes, and the installation isn’t exactly as simple as pointing and clicking, so check out our guide here!

    Ok, I know I’m late, but my degree was more important.
    DOes the controller work with any game, or just specific types?

    Thanks for the guide and efforts
    But im having issues :/
    1. The gamepad tool doesn’t recognize the controller. says in connected game controllers drop down “Wait for controllers to be connected” and button saying disconnect. next to it.
    2. my MODE selections differ from the guide.. Mine says PlayStation 1 Ect..PlayStation 2 Ect , playstation 2 pressure sensitive , PlayStation 3 , xbox 360 and custom. I amused playstation 3 and checked that one, but still confusing when using guide.
    3. All buttons seem to function in game controller panel. but no analog. And the name of controller did say Playstation something controller at one point. now it says MotioninJoy Vertual game controller. Odd ..

    Any help would be nice :)

    try selecting the 360 setting..thats how i run mine while playing dcuo.

      I rebooted PC and it showed up! Works great. Only wish I could change the icon or name of buttons.in game it says things like “oi” and some other things i dont recognize. “oi” is square or circle i dont Square. But it doesnt say like like triangle, Circle, X Ect. Some do say button correctly like R1 L2 R3 Ect. But it works
