The PRO adds a pair of shoulder buttons, and some hand-grips. And that's it.
There’s no set release date other than “Summer 2009″, and that is surely for Japan only, but Nintendo has introduced a new model of Classic Controller for the Wii on their Japanese site.
As you can see, there’s not much really new about it… It takes more of a 2000’s era approach to gamepad design rather than the 90’s style SNES controller. Personally I think the SNES style is fine for that games I use it for (that would be SNES games on Virtual Console) but as more actual Wii games with traditional gameplay style are released, the need has arisen for a revamped controller.
There’s no US release date, but you’ll surely be able to buy it at Import Video Game Stores like KidSamurai (when they launch, which should be in a month or so)
