Okay Microsoft, you had your fun on top for a month. Everyone who was waiting for Halo 3 got their 360, and now the Wii takes over its spot on top.

  1. Wii | 519K
  2. Nintendo DS | 458K
  3. Xbox 360 | 366K
  4. PSP | 286K
  5. PlayStation 2 | 184K
  6. PlayStation 3 | 121K

Things are certainly back to normal. Almost too much - with the exception of the XBOX 360, all consoles sold almost exactly as many in October (a 4 week sales month) as in September (a 5 week sales month). That means that, once again, Sony is being kept afloat by the PSP and lowly PS2. Interestingly, the PSP is selling quite a few units, but is barely able to make it on a Top 10 list for software sales. What are these people doing with their PSPs? Well if they’re anything like me, it’s used mostly for watching video on the road, with the occasional great game like Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (downloadable on PSN, playable on PS3 and PSP with the ability to move save files back and forth).
