It’s official, the XBOX 360’s price has been cut! The Premium is now $350, down from $400. The core gets a $20 drop, down to $280, and the Elite is now $480 instead of $500.
Also, it appears that new models of the Premium are being released, with HDMI support. So now, more than ever, the Premium is the one to get. Unless you really plan to download (and keep) a lot of videos and demos, there is truly no need to consider the Elite version. And with the Core version only getting a paltry $20 drop, it’s more retarded than ever.
Oh and by the way, the ass-ugly Halo edition is officially priced at $400, the old price of the Premium edition. It also has HDMI, but only a 20GB hard drive.
Canada also receives some price cuts, but the new prices are not reflective of the sinking US Dollar. So the Premium is now $400, the Core $300, and Elite $500 - yup, Canada’s new prices are now the same as the old US prices. Canadians living near the US border (probably about 90% of the population) will probably want to make a run for the border if they intend to pick up a new console. With the Canadian dollar nearly at par with the USD, these new prices are almost insulting.
