Default Windows won't install, keep getting blue screen of death!

1. Motherboard: DFI NFII Ultra400-S
2. Processor: AMD 2800 barton
3. Cooling: OCZ technologies...
4. Memory: Two sticks of Crucial Technology 256mb pc2700, and One 512mb stick of the same memory.
5. Video Card: ATI 9600pro 256mb
6. Sound Card: Onboard/headset
7. Hard drives: Western Digital 80gb Caviar, and Western Digital 30gb
8. Power Supply: Antec 450w psu
9. Operating System: Trying to use Windows XP Pro
10. Post your temperatures/temps: CPU stays around 36-38 degrees celcius, not sure on the system at the moment...

I recently installed a new mother board (the one mentioned above) in my pc, and I can't get windows to install. When I get to the final installation screen I get constant blue screens of death or the system just reboots itself. If anyone can help me figure out this issue I'd greatly appreciate it. I need my pc by tonight, and being I'm stuck at work doesn't help matters any... ANY HELP PLEASE!!!

Thanks,
Gregg aka aNS^G0@t (cs gaming clan)

You could also try googling the blue screen error message for more information. Post that here

Try it with just 1 stick of RAM installed.

Default Problem fixed Windows is now installed!

Well I got it to work, used one stick of ram, and in DIMM slot 3 lol! Didn't expect this to work since you usually want to use the first DIMM slot... However it worked, one word of advice to any DFI mobo users, I still can't get it to work with the two 256mb sticks, and the one 512 stick. I dunno what's up with the ram controllers but it won't accept the 512 stick (more blue screens of death when installed). So if anyone is looking to buy a new stick of 512mb DDR pc2700 Crucial Technology send me an e-mail!

thanks,
Gregg

Do you have another comp that you can test the ram in? And I'm not interested just better for you to test something to make sure it works before you sell it to anyone else

It may also have to do with the RAM slots configuration. Check the mobo manual. Sometimes if you're trying to use more than 2 slots you're limited to single sided RAM in some of the slot configurations.

Yeah the 512 stick of ram is just fine. Just something with the DIMM slots on this dfi board, won't accept it...
