Question Windows 64-Bit Problem

I have installed windows xp 64-bit edition as well as a few very difficult 64-bit drivers. My RAM, however, is a different story. In both my computer and dxdiag it tells me I only have 256 megs of RAM, when I actually put in 768 megs. All 3 sticks of RAM are the same type and I also tried putting them back in to solve the problem, but to no avail. Can windows 64 only support up to 256 megs of RAM? Help is much appreciated.

System:
Chaintech nVidia 6800 oc'd-edition
Chaintech VNF3-250 Board
AMD Athlon 64 2800 oc'd
768 megs Corsair XMS PC3200 RAM
10000rpm 34.4 gig Western Digital Raptor HDD
MGE 500watt Power Supply

Default

Try taking out one of the sticks of memory (I hate calling memory "sticks", but whatever).

The memory controllers on the 754 aren't all that robust. The max number of sticks of memory recommended for the 754 (double sided) is 2.

It gets even worse if you are overclocking.
