So it might be more appropriate to talk with LL one-on-one about this. But I was wondering what people might think about trying to get more activity going on around here. I don't know what could generate new people well, our troubleshooting forums seem to get the most done with that, but then when people get their problem fixed, they don't come back.

I've been coming here for 8 years now, with an average post count of 2.6 a day, haha.

Maybe it might help if we compressed some of the tech forums? Any ideas for expanding gaming topics? (This is supposed to be a gaming/mod tech website primarily)

I should also get back to helping with articles on the front page, I did a few and was excited about it, but haven't been on the ball with it since.

Any ideas?

How bout some contests? Not like my style contests (ahem), but just something to get people more active in coming here and reading.

Not to be a pessimist, but I don't think a contest would work either. I've gone on forums that tried to promote themselves with a sign up raffle or something of the sort, and after a few days, it just dies out again... When I came, this forum was already dying, just seems that many moved on but nobody's come to take their place. I think the only way is to put out review content, and hope that those that read them come check out the forums. Problem is, that likely they'll see that the forums are dead, and continue the cycle...
