I 100% agree, this whole "cloud" terminology is being applied to virtually everything. We use to do DNS round robin, or Load sharing, Request distribution, etc. Any kind of aliasing or virtualization.

Apparently those were all antiquated technical terms that actually described what was happening, but a marketing term that involves stratoshperic moisture was more catchy.

Dallas's explanation is what I was trying to say the whole time. Thanks.

But yeah, HCW's new setup is definitely more responsive for me -- I think the server change was a great idea. Hopefully it'll prove to be cheaper as well.

Its running faster but i cant upload any photo of my curry chicken I have reduced size into 50KB, 550x400 pixels.

Did anyone experience the same thing? I can upload photo on fb but not here.

Another reason why I hate the term "cloud", it's just being abused to fuck so that it doesn't mean anything.

Intel's single chip "cloud" computer. It's not even a cluster of machines like clouds normally are, it's one fucking chip! Oh wait, that completely defeats the point of "cloud" computing, whoops!
