Hi,
Today after updating my pc with microsoft's latest two updates, 816093: Security Update Microsoft Virtual Machine (Microsoft VM) and Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1 (KB832894). After this I restarted my PC and I got an error message lsass.exe - Bad Image saying the Application or DLL C:\Windows\system32\WLDAP32.DLL this is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette. I could not start win, not even in safe mode. So i had to manually copy the WLDAP32.DLL file from another computer that was also a Windows xp Home SP 1. The other computer's only update was the SP1 while my PC had all the updates. I'd like to know what that file is responsible for and if it could have been modified in any way by all the other patches. I'm worried if it can cause any problems in the future when I run some programs.

I've done those updates and haven't had any problems.
As long as you're working now I wouldn't worry about it. To be safe though I would do a backup of stuff you want to keep ASAP. |

I don't know, so far everything looks pretty good. Can someone tell me what WLDAP32.DLL is responsible for. I tried looking on MS website but it doesn't say anything.
