Hmm.. Just the outside of it looks nice.. Can't wait to see what it looks like all together.. Has anyone ever thought of doing a Gold plated case?

ok, moving into some new territory for myself. Attempting to make a custom front bezel, to replace the ugly plastic stock setup. below is the 18 gauge sheet metal i'm starting with.

Here the bezel is after some time on the "English Wheel" starting to take some shape.

EDIT: notice all the dust in the air, there was some grinding going on nearby.

Looks good, are you going to paint your front bezel red as well?

The external portions of the case are going to be..... well I havn't decided yet, but it should be pretty cool. And yes, there's gonna be some red involved.

Nice work tho.

How do you paint that? Powder coat again?

i've thought of doing gold plate on a case, but, dunno. haven't dunnit yet.
Edit: mainly cause of the $1-2000 price tag on a plater w/ chemicals.
