My FIRST ticket....and for a U-Turn - Page 2

haha! never got a ticket....but if i did right now, i would be pretty screwed. i'm driving with an expired liscence (even though you get a month to renew it, but still) and no insurance card cause they expire a month after i get them.

on another note, somewhat car related, i tried getting a parking sticker friday. they only sell them in the morning, but since i'm in band, i had to wait till friday (they were there all week). it's 15 dollars with proof of insurance, drivers liscence, and ur liscence plate number. i hand her my DL so she can copy it, "this is expired." "yea, but you get a month to renew it." "you get a month with the state, not with us!" ooohhhh, i am pissed. now i have to go to the school office, get this stupid form that says i'm still in school, go to the DMV and get my new temp liscence, come back to the school, and get my sticker. again, with band and a job, i will have no time to do any of this. so....i'm thinking of making a sign in the for my car that says "getting liscence renewed......so fuck off" just so they don't frickin tow my car when i'm in school.

defferals happen everyday in the court system. If you dont get a chance to talk to the officer when u go to court just ask the judge. Most judges will always give a first timer a defferal if you ask for it. My brother in law is a sherriff deputy here. As long as you go in look good in court say yes sir or yes man. and be nice i would bet a $100 on it that you get it deffered....just dont get another ticket for 90 days. Just make sure you are nice... Sounds like the cop was cool so you should be fine. If you get it deffered you have to just pay the court cost. if you need any more info just PM me....

I don't know about Alaska, but in BC the cop no longer has to be there to fight your protest. You don't even go to court anymore, it's all done on paper.
