Law Abiding Citizen and Merchant of Venice

Have you guys seen those movie? Law Abiding Citizen is sorta non-sense but good.

While Merchant of Venice impressed me. Oh, well, i like Al Pacino, that he's being a jew on storyline of William Shakespear.

Here is the quote:

I'm really shocked

Was it true? This is not right.

Edit, Actually, christian allows to charge interest to non-family member. So, shylock is right.

19 " You shall not charge interest to your brother -- interest on money or food or anything that is lent out at interest.
20 "To a foreigner you may charge interest, but to your brother you shall not charge interest, that the LORD your God may bless you in all to which you set your hand in the land which you are entering to possess. (Deuteronomy 23:19,20)

Yea i know that. But if you are truly christian, even for thousands years back or thousand years ahead, the bible still remains the same, right?

So what happened in the past, wasn't right? right?

God drowns the entire population of the earth: men, women, children, fetuses, and animals.
God kills 50,000 men for peeking into the ark of the covenant.
The Israelites complain that God is killing too many of them. So, God sends a plague that kills 14,000 more of them.

It's a good thing christians sorta kinda just you know, ignore that stuff. Our god is a loving god now damn it! HES A REFORMED MAN.

Noni, I think this demonstrates a profound lack of understanding about the bible. The bible has been translated and copied out many times by many people. Each adding their own spin to the narrative. Also it doesn't go back forever as various chapters of the bible were written between 1500BC and 90AD (approximately). And that's not even factoring in the changes to the bible that were instituted by the Romans to fit it into their culture and world view.

Since I know you'll just post something nonsensical in response I guess this post is mostly directed at everyone else.

I never know that. Yet, i serve church since i was kid and I had biblical study as well.

For translation, there's a book which interpret all bible word if we can't understand its words.
