Default Keyboard - Netropa drivers - calling home

I've manage to get hold of a Black "Inter-Media keyboard" WK-888
I like it BUT it keeps wanting to call home if I load the drivers :-(
It uses Netropa drivers. which HP uses a different version and have the same problems.

Anyone know how I can stop this as I would like to be able to use the homepage/email & sound volume keys etc (the top 8 keys) the editing of the function keys I not bothered about.

If I use the task manager and kill "inetkb" it stops calling home but this is a pain to do all the time...the real problem is it keeps calling the "ikbupd" which comes on then shuts down every couple of seconds.

Also I can kill Osd (OnScreen Display) I don't care if this runs or not. as it only shows when you are adjusting volume
I like a clean mean system...hate wasting resources...the more things running the more things to cause problems....KISS is my rule

Default Re: Keyboard - Netropa drivers - calling home

All is sweet now, I have fallen back in love with my new keyboard :-)

I renamed the sub folder which had the "ikbupd.exe" and the internet files for the settings of the function keys.
The function keys are as the standard keyboard and the onscreen display works, not that I care about that.
BUT more important NO calling home and that bloody hourglass has gone.
Everything is working great,
the top 8 multimedia keys sound, email, homepage etc.
