Default IDE to SATA converters

Hey I am about to order 2 of these converters from AMS and I am wondering if I will see performance decrease from using them. I will have a W.D. 80Gb 8mb cache IDE drive ATA100, and a Maxtor 40Gb 2mb cache ATA133 connected to the SATA ports on my A7N8Xv2 Deluxe

not raided. I was going to buy the WD 120Gb SATA drive, it's only $107 and has a 3 year wrnty, but I don't feel like spending money till after xmas.

edit - the mobo SATA ports are Silicon Image Sil 3112A

The HDD will only read and access and send at it's original speed, but the mobo will shuffle the info around at the SATA speed. I think you'll see some additional speed, but not a whole lot.
