[Edit] MEMORY LEAK ALERT! It was taking up 150 megs of ram.. then it suddenly jumped up to 600+. Either it's a mem leak or i need more ram. 512 just won't cut it anymore.

Same thing happened to me with my (Saitek) keyboard 5Clicks. What I had to do was to go into device manager and disable the last two entries in the human interface devices section. After that it worked just fine and disabling those hasn't interfered so far with anything else. This is what it looks like:
