Just resently they had a problem with Windows update, hackers/virus.. cant remeber which, so they had to change some stuff. hope the URL will help ya. If not scan your compute for virus.

Yeah, the Blaster worm caused them to take down www.windowsupdate.com

no they didnt goty, and mr. chirs buy an OEM copy of XP you software pirate! The found you out bro! (wink) or just change your xp key....nah microsoft looks at the validation of the CD key and if its a commonly used one they black list it and dont allow you to dl and updates, there are programs that let you change your CD Key or you can hack your regisrty.
