The colored numbers are the stock voltage settings.

L =1.5V
U =1.6V
K =1.65V
M =1.75V

Meanings of processor markings, 2 examples:

A X 2100 D M T 3 C

A = AMD Athlon
X = Athlon XP Processor
2100 = Model Number (XP 2100+ Palomino)
D = Package Type (D=OPGA) (may not show on cpu)
M = Operating Voltage (M=1.75V)
T = Die Temperature (T=90 Degrees Celsius)
3 = Size of L2 Cache (3=256Kbytes)
C = Max FSB (C=266MHZ)

AXD A 2100 D U T 3 C

AXD = AMD Athlon XP Processor Model 8
A = Desktop Processor
2100 = Athlon XP 2100+
D = Package Type (D=OPGA) (may not show on cpu)
U = Operating Voltage (L=1.50V, U=1.60V, K=1.65V)
T = Die Temperature (T=90 Degrees Celsius, V=85 Degrees Celsius)
3 = Size of L2 Cache (3=256Kbytes, 4=512Kbytes)
C = Max FSB (C=266MHZ, D=333MHZ, E=400MHZ)

A and B cores:
NOTE: These Letters are found on the second line of info on the cpu core.

AGOIA = A core (last letter)
AIUHB = B core (last letter)

Notice the Barton's are all A core's. FSB can be determined by the third letter with the last 2 letters being CA:

AQUCA, U = 333FSB
AQXCA, X = 400FSB

If there is anything else you want listed, let me know.

I won't do the Intel, not yet anyways.

Thx rstarr but one question, you say all barton 2500+ are 333 fsb, according to this
Quote:

AQUCA, U = 333FSB

then that means my 2500+ has a 400 fsb with this stepping

The last letter of this line: AXDA2500DKV4D

is D which buy all charts means FSB 333. The AQXEA (X) is confusing if thats what you have. X equalling FSB 400. I'll have to research this more.

EDITED and ADDED:
The first referance to 400 FSB that I could find was with the XP3000, then the 3200.
If you have a link to a XP2500 FSB 400, please provide it.

That should just be a stepping code and has nothing to do with the processor specs. It's more a manufacturers code I think.

I think his come from a newer batch. Notice the last two letters aren't CA. At the time I put this together, CA was the type of BARTON cpu being made.

Sorry for the confusion. I bet you thought you had a really rare cpu.

It's better to go with this line and the last letter, D, which means FSB 333:

AXDA2500DKV4D
