Let’s face it, popping bubble wrap is addictive. You feel like a bit of a moron but god, it’s satisfying.

Apparently someone thinks actual bubble wrap is in short supply and thought it would be a good idea to make an electronic bubble wrap simulator. No, you read that right. Small enough to be a keychain or a mobile phone accessory, the “PuchiPuchi Infinite” bubble wrap simulator is supposed to replicate the feel and sound of actual bubble wrap.

Bandai Electronic Bubble Wrap

The toy will sell for around 800 yen (or about $6.50 USD). If you’re looking to buy one, might I suggest flushing the money down the toilet or burning it? That may sound stupid but it’s really no more stupid than buying an electronic bubble wrap simulator.
