Haha... I remember PC Format reviewing this game when I was first getting into gaming; they *hated* it... in fact, I think I may have missed the actual review but they kept on referring to how appalling it was in subsequent issues. Thanks for that bit of nostalgia; I'm sure I'd have lapped this up in my game-starved, pre-PC days :-)

I had completely forgotten this game existed, got here looking for an example of what could be done with Java in blu-ray extras. I'm afraid I can't say 'press x to not die' fills me with hope for that particular medium.

This Dragon's Lair is not the same as the game I'm playing?!

The game I have dose not have a checkerbord room nor a bunch
of bats comming after me. It dose not have a crossbow with
speacle arrows. It dose give you extra life in every second room and a extra sheald.

there is a lot of water rooms that I'm having a hard time getting throgugh.

I did not even start with the drawbridge comming down, I started inside the casle about half way down the left side.

If you have this verson please send it to me

[...] I had to do a double-take as well. But apparently, it’s coming. The Blu-Ray version was quite a success - it was the first title to fully show off the capabilities of Blu-Ray Java. [...]

Hi, this game was one of the coolest when it came out. I was 15 when this game apppeared in the arcades, and you're right - it was pretty cool for its day, with laserdisc video.

These days, I bought a PS3 a few months ago, and was amazed to find that this game is now available as a Blu-ray PS3 title! With barely a thought, I just bought it at buy.com, just for the collector value! Can't wait to play it again.

I came across this fantastic review just after I was playing Space Ace on my Amiga. I just wanted to see the other versions.. I dont usually read reviews of anything really, I like to play and make up my own mind. One does admit this has to be one of the most unbias review of anything. Thank you for the trip down memory lane, and up towards wherever we went.

Amiga had both Space Ace 1 and 2, perhaps not as glorious as the video disc, but alas, the quality of gameplay was there, as was the splendid animation (Which was one of the Amigas selling points)

I just bought a lovely LG HDTV, I cant wait to see this..
