I fail to see how Dell monitors are reasonably priced, or even very good. I just bought two 22in Hanns-G widescreens, rated at 5ms, for about 320 dollars. A SINGLE 22in Dell panel is 300. They have slower response times. Not a dead pixel on my Hanns-Gs, and my older 19in Hanns-G is and has been working flawlessly for the past year.

Looks like a DYI hack, and a pretty crappy one at that. Huge ugly borders, horrible reflection issues, I like that it's thin. Basically Dell sucks, always has, always will. Nuff said.

Very nice! I want one. Or, two or three! Any mention of a shipping date? Any window? Less than 18 months? More?

I would make a comment about the specs of this monitor, but there isn't a single piece of quality information about it. What size(s) does it come in? What are the viewable inches? What is the contrast ratio? What's the response rate? What kind of DVI/audio does it support other than HDMI? ANY??? It supposedly comes in very high resolutions, but what IS this high resolution? Since I happen to know what the highest one money can buy is, and it's never been a Dell, then I doubt very much that this monitor is really as great as it sounds.

Also, yes, glass can be anti-glare, and there are some quality glass LCD monitors that don't have obnoxious reflections, but anyone who says that this particular monitor doesn't have glare is obviously an imbecile with vision problems. You can hardly see the wallpaper on the desktop because the glare from the ceiling lights is so bright.

Just like everything else Dell sells, it's just pretty wrapping paper hiding the piece of shit underneath.

I was saying to some people a few months back (about when the iPhone was announced) that I expect Apple shall be introducing a touchscreen version of the iMac and their Cinema Displays before long using the same or similar technology. Now with Dell getting involved in this and the Microsoft Milan table I am beginning to believe the venerable old mouse shall soon be going the way of the floppy drive.

pretty cool, the only doubt I have about that is the reflexions on the screen, as you can see from the photo, there is alot of reflexions, and for some people, such as people with windows or lights behind them, the problem of not being able to see the screen will be even more of a problem.

otherwse it is pretty impressive

I wonder if the integrated speakers are actually those NXT transducers which make the whole front panel into a flat panel speaker.
That would give pretty impressive sound and mean there are no need for grille holes for the sound to come out.

Where did these morons get this LCD/Staring out of windows analogy from?

If I really wanted a chair made out of wood, I'd go sit on a log!
