Abit A-N78HD GeForce 8200 mATX Motherboard Review
By Carl Nelson on September 18, 2008
We have just published our review of the Abit A-N78HD motherboard, which if the rumors are true, may be the last motherboard we review from them.
That is unfortunate too, because to be honest, Abit didn’t deliver on their usual high standards this time around. With a few poor design decisions here and there, and one [...]

By Carl Nelson on September 4, 2008
We have just published our review of OCZ’s low-latency ReaperX 4GB memory kit. It has a long name, and huge heatsinks to match!
This is our first review of a 4GB kit, so we weren’t sure exactly what to expect. In the end, I can say that we were very surprized! Was is a pleasant surprize, [...]

Abit IP35 Pro Motherboard Review
By Carl Nelson on February 27, 2008
We have just published our first motherboard review in a while, and it’s a doozy. The IP35 Pro from Universal Abit is based on the Intel P35 Express chipset. This chipset supports FSB rates up to 1333 MHz, and the IP35 Pro supports pretty much every Intel CPU out there.
You might be amazed at how [...]

By Carl Nelson on December 3, 2007
This is our first full-blown CPU review in – quite some time. I decided to pit AMD vs. Intel in a dual core battle, comparing their fastest sub $200 processors against each other. For kicks, I also threw in a Core 2 Quad Q6600, just to see if Dual Core is dead yet.
The bottom line? [...]

We’re still alive!
By Carl Nelson on November 8, 2007
This is just a quick note to let you know that this blog is still going, despite not being updated in several days. We’re still alive don’t worry! I just had to make a few impromptu trips out of town back-to-back, and the internet service has been sketchy. Unfortunately my fill-in staff didn’t fill in [...]

HCW 2.0’s new header
By Carl Nelson on March 22, 2007
In case you haven’t noticed, HCW 2.0 (aka HCW Tech Blog) is sporting a new header now. I have cleaned up the look considerably, taking out any textures from the logo itself, and removing the bold border in favour of a softer drop-shadow look. I also took the big logo from the background, making a [...]
