If you’re an import gamer who loves the idea of a black version of the Wii, then mark your calendar for August 1, because that is when the Wii “kuro” (black) comes to Japan. It will retail for the same price as the white Wii (¥23,750, or about $250 USD), and it looks F’n awesome:
There will be black versions of all the accessories, including the Wii Remote (even with a matching Retard Helmet), Nunchuck, and Classic Controller PRO (in Japan they have replaced the classic controller with a version that has two handles on the ends).
Japan (and the rest of Asia) generally gets way more choices for video game console colours, going way back to the PS1 and Dreamcast (and probably even further than that). Gamers in the west, however, will have to buy one from an import video game shop, such as Kid Samurai. Keep in mind that the Wii is region-locked, so you’ll have to play Japanese games on it exclusively, or find a way to mod it.

SICK ! The black version looks aweeesome ! Pity i got white console and wont change it for black one.
I don’t really see why anyone would care but choice is choice.
P.S. I may just be telling myself this because my Gamecube is Purple.
