Tech Report is taking a new twist on CPU reviews - they have posted an article which makes it easier to shop for a new CPU by plotting each processor’s performance and price on a graph. Yup, one more graph for the folks at Tech Report ;)

The results are somewhat predictable - Intel’s processors are pretty much on top for performance and price, but not by as much now that AMD is willing to essentially give their processors away at cost. The FX-72 and -74 results are a bit skewed because the chart doesn’t take into account that you need to buy an exclusive dual socket motherboard that costs over $330.

The end result? Buy an E6600.
