6th Gen iPod Interface?

When the iPhone was announced, most folks said that the ideal design for the next iPod would probably be the iPhone without all the, well, phone parts to it. A video surface yesterday with what looks like the new iPod interface and while it does look cool, it looks like it will maintain the regular aspect ratio we’ve see on all previous iPods and not be a touch-widescreen like that of the iPhone.

C’mon, Apple…give us big ol’ widescreen if you’re going to promote the fact the thing plays videos. We know you can do it now that the iPhone is out. Of course, it’s a bit too early to tell but if this video is any indication of what the 6th generation iPod will act like, it will be closer to the old iPods than the iPhone.
